The site of Appuldurcombe House underwent several renovations since it's first recorded use as a priory in the twelfth century. In the 1690s it was bequeathed to Sir Robert Worsley, who set about demolishing the Tudor structure he had inherited and replacing it with a grand Baroque manor. It remained in the Worsley family until the mid nineteenth century. The property is associated with many apparitions and a misfortune past. The house itself is now known as somewhat of a specter itself.

During World War Two, a German aircraft on a mine laying mission dropped its final mine close to the house. The following explosion caused catastrophic damage to the property, caving in the roof and blowing out the windows which remained unrepaired for many years. Today, Appuldurcombe House maintains its striking facade, which conceals a roofless, empty shell.

Our large ghost figurines measure approximately 8 cm tall and are hand-made with care on the Isle of Wight, thought to be the most haunted island in the world. Each ghost is completely unique and features an Isle of Wight shaped base. Matt finish. Please note that by virtue of the hand-making and finishing process, minor imperfections and slight colour variations may be present. These are normal and add to the character of each spirit, with each one being a true one-of-a-kind.
